It is agreed that you are employing Full Pawtential to undertake training with you and on your behalf with your dog(s). Lindsey Walker is fully insured with both public liability and professional indemnity insurance for undertaking training with dogs. All venues used also have suitable public liability insurance.
Professional fees shall be charged as per the option you choose to book and will be confirmed by email/invoice/receipt of payment. Placing a booking and making a payment of the required amount automatically assumes that you have read, understood, and agree with these terms and conditions. Fees must be paid in full at the time of booking.
The welfare of your dog is my first priority and any and all advice given will be with this as the most important factor. I am a paid member of the PPG as a force free trainer.
If it becomes necessary for you to cancel a course, one to one session or workshop after you have booked and paid but before the start of your booking, please give as much notice as you can. All cancellations with less than 14 days notice will be subject to a £10 admin fee. If cancellations are made less than 7 days from the start of your booking then a 50% refund will be given. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded unless in exceptional circumstances and this will be considered on a case by case basis.
We do not allow any form of harsh handling and we only use scientifically proven, modern, kind and effective techniques. We do not tolerate any methods that cause physical or psychological pain, fear or intimidation. This includes shouting at the dog, collar jerking, hitting the dog or physically forcing the dog into positions. Anyone using these techniques will be asked to stop and if they persist will be asked to leave the classes with no refund given. Aversive equipment is also prohibited. This includes shock collars, prong collars, slip leads, half check collars or other pain inducing devices. If you have previously used any of these techniques then as long as you are happy to change and learn then I am happy to work with you. If you are not then save your money and my time and don’t book training with me.
You must not knowingly book an aggressive or highly reactive dog onto a group training class. Reactive means having an abnormal reaction to things either through overexcitement or fear. The odd bark or whine is normal but continuous barking/lunging/whining indicate that the dog is not coping and a class environment is not suitable. If you have a dog that you are unsure if it falls into these categories then just give us a call and I will be happy to advise you. If a reactive dog is knowingly brought to group class then you will not be allowed to continue and a refund will not be given. Again, if you are in any doubt then contact us before booking.
Any breed of dog is welcome except those that are banned in the UK.
Training and Services
Whilst we endeavour to get the best out of your dogs our main goal is to equip you with the necessary skills to continue working with your dog away from classes or training sessions. To see improvements and maximum effect from training you must practice with your dog regularly and consistently in between classes or sessions.
Advice given about a dog is specific to that dog only and should not be passed on to other people under any circumstances. Every dog is different and what is suitable for one may not suit another dog in a different situation.
No filming or photography is allowed during private sessions or classes without permission.
Sessions booked outside of our catchment area will be subject to additional fuel costs.
If you book a package I will book the following session in with you at each session but if you have to rearrange future sessions for any reason they will be subject to our refund policy. After this I will send a reminder once and after that the duty lies with you to contact me and book. Any unbooked sessions not booked within 28 days of the last session will not be refunded.
Your details will not be sold on to any third parties. We may occasionally send you information about relevant events but if you do not wish to receive these then please let us know. We may also take photos of your dogs for our website or social media accounts. If you are not happy for us to use these then please do let us know.
Thanks for reading through these. Now the boring stuff is out the way we look forward to meeting you and your dog(s).
